Looking the other way

Published on: 22nd March, 2022

We're a two-time award nominated podcast, as we're a finalist for Best News & Politics Show in the Quill Podcast Awards 2022. Between us, we are manifesting the win.

Ketanji Brown Jackson is the latest nominee for the US Supreme Court. Her confirmation hearing is ongoing so we compare how that's going with Amy Coney Barrett's and Brett Kavanaugh's and the additional poise that seems to be required.

In royal news, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (Wills & Kate) are on a tour of the Caribbean and are being challenged by protests about their visit. Is it time to ditch the concept of The Commonwealth, and what is the difference between 'slavery' and 'human trafficking'?

Humans have a history of being selective in what they choose to see. We look at the acceptance of refugees from Ukraine compared to other war-torn areas of the world and the cosying up to problematic regimes because they have oil. Similarly how, in the UK, teachers, police officers and society looked the other way whilst Child Q was strip searched at school.

About the Podcast

Humans Exhaust Me
A podcast for our current world and everything within it
Did you ever imagine what the last couple of years would be like? Yeah, so did we. Was it what we envisioned? Er, nope.

Whether it's Covid-19, war, systemic racism, politics, celebrities or the general public, there's a lot of disappointment in our veins.

Come and share in our woe - it'll be therapeutic. But be warned, this is not an objective show.

We have views.
